What we collect
Nothing. SoberDay has no servers, no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising SDKs. There is no account to create. The app is fully usable offline.
Where your data lives
Your sobriety journey, day entries, lapses, journal entries, garden state and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. The app's widget reads a small snapshot of your streak from a shared App Group container on the same device. Nothing leaves the device.
Apple Health
If you opt in, SoberDay reads — read-only — your sleep, heart-rate variability and resting heart rate from HealthKit to display them on the Health Benefits screen. SoberDay never writes to Apple Health, and the values are not retained outside of the screen showing them.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, SoberDay schedules a single repeating local notification at the time you choose. There is no remote push and no notification servers.
Subscriptions
If you subscribe to SoberDay Plus, the purchase is processed by Apple via native StoreKit 2. SoberDay does not use any third-party purchase or analytics SDK; the only party that sees the transaction is Apple, who does not share your name, email or location with SoberDay.
Children
SoberDay is rated 17+ because it depicts and discusses alcohol use. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, regardless of age.
Deletion
Settings → Reset all data wipes everything from the device permanently. Because there is no cloud copy, this is final.
Changes to this policy
If this policy materially changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date. Because we collect nothing, "changes" usually mean small clarifications.
