Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 May 2026 · Stillpoint (iOS app)

The short version

Stillpoint stores everything you type into it — check-ins, triggers, notes, journal entries, breathwork sessions — only on your iPhone. There is no server, no account, no analytics SDK, and no advertising. We do not collect or transmit any personal data. We do not see any of it.

2. What Stillpoint does NOT do

  • No accounts, no logins, no email required.
  • No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting beyond Apple's optional system-level Analytics & Improvements.
  • No advertising and no advertising SDKs.
  • No third-party SDKs of any kind in the app at launch.
  • No transfer of your data to me, to Apple beyond standard App Store payment processing, or to any third party.

3. What is stored, and where

Stillpoint persists the following entirely on your device, in the app's private SwiftData container and UserDefaults:

  • Anxiety check-ins (level 0–10, optional triggers, optional free-text note, timestamp).
  • Thought records (situation, feeling, thought, reframe).
  • Completed breathwork sessions (technique, cycles, duration).
  • Your appearance preference, daily-reminder time, and a few onboarding flags.

This data leaves your device only if you actively share or back it up — for example by using Apple's iCloud Backup, AirDrop, or by tapping "Export as CSV" in Settings.

4. Notifications

If you opt in to a daily check-in reminder, Stillpoint schedules a single repeating local notification. Nothing about that notification is sent over the network.

5. App Store payments and Apple

If a paid Premium feature is added in a later version, payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, payment details, or address — only anonymous aggregate sales data in App Store Connect. Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.

6. Legal basis (EU/EEA users)

Local processing is necessary to provide the app's features you actively requested — Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of contract). Storage of your reminder-time preference is based on your consent — Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

7. Your rights

Because nothing leaves your device, you exercise most GDPR rights directly inside the app:

  • Access (Art. 15) — open the History tab; everything is there.
  • Rectification (Art. 16) — edit or delete any entry.
  • Erasure (Art. 17) — Settings → "Erase all data", or simply uninstall the app.
  • Portability (Art. 20) — Settings → "Export as CSV".
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

8. Children

Stillpoint is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data about anyone, child or adult.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will live at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
